Contest Rules
Sorry, but even fun stuff like this contest has to have some rules. We've tried to keep them simple and not too onerous. Please contact us if you have any questions about the contest rules.
By entering the contest, you agree to abide by the following rules. Any entries not in compliance with the rules will be disqualified.
- Entries must be from the greater San Francisco Bay area defined as city/county of San Francisco, East Bay, Tri-Valley, Peninsula, Silicon Valley/South Bay, North Bay.
- Only one photo per entry. However, the photo may have multiple subjects. Please note any information about this with your entry.
- All entries may be published and used by FETCH the Paper both on the Web and in Print. You grant us rights to publish all the materials you submit with the photo such as captions, description, etc. We agree to provide photo credit information as provided in your entry.
- "Professional" photos: We know that folks who are professional photographers have cute pets too, so here's how you can play. This contest is about pets, not the great photos in your portfolio. So you can submit photos of your own pets under your own name. You may also have your clients submit their pet's photos credited to you. But you may not submit photos of other people's pets.
- Same rule as #3 applies to everyone, really. Only submit photos of your own pets, not other peoples'.
- Please make sure you provide correct contact info in your entry. We will have to contact you if you win, or if we need something more from you, and if we can't find you we may have to disqualify your entry.
- Employees of FETCH the Paper and any contest sponsors are not eligible to participate. Send us your SNAPs though!
- All judging decisions are final and completely up to the judging panel, which will consist of members of the FETCH editorial team as well as others they may invite to participate. That means no whining if you think we're wrong.
