Sunny is an 11-ish year old Labrador mix. All of her life, she has been very patient and mellow so it was fairly easy to teach her to balance a treat on her nose (as seen in the photo).

I rescued Panda 4 years ago in November. She was a street dog who saw cats as menu items. By the following spring with real food in her belly and a good home and soft bed she had reevaluated her opinion of cats and kittens so when foster orphaned kittens started arriving she pitched in helping out with them and has ever since. She likes "her" babies clean, quite and well cared for.

Cookie is a Shih-tzu/Lhasa Apso mix who is 8 years old. We got Cookie when he was 3 month old found outside a restaurant's dumpster. He's very playful, energetic, loves belly rubs, and most of all treats.

Jakie is my foster dog -- a borderline collie at BC Rescue of N Cal. He was astray in Modesto (who isn't?), down on his luck and outta time when he found his way to us. Jake is feeling better about himself, as you see. He intends to leverage the exposure he gets here into a new forever home, with people who love him. That's all he wants.

Seems like Stella Pua is the only dog at the dog park to ever get super dirty! She loves to play, loves any kind of water sports, extremely loving and caring!

Odie is a Catahoula mix, adopted from the Mendocino Animal Care Services shelter. He is not only gorgeous, he also has a heart of gold. He has graciously allowed me to foster dogs-in-need from the shelter--dogs with medical problems, or dogs having a difficult time adjusting to shelter life. He shared his bed and toys with close to two dozen dogs in the year after he was adopted.

Dazzey is a two year old mixed breed rescue and her mom’s, “Princess of Cuteness.” She is afflicted with the “Wiggle Butt Disease”. Her tail at times takes over and wags her whole body.
When she has a serious attack of this affliction her tail bends her body into a “U” shape placing her tail nearly under her chin. She has a very unique bark that sounds just like a rooster crowing.Photo by Michelle J. Jones

Betty is a 10 month old Schweener which is a mix between a Shih Tzu and a long haired Dachshund. Her favorite food is chicken and rice. She loves to swim in the Russian River and to run along the beach.

Bailey is a 12 year old terrier mutt and loves to wear his cowboy hat which matches his people daddy's hat. Bailey tends to hop around on all fours like a rabbit, especially when he's excited. He also loves to play catch with his stuffed possum, however he prefers to roll it over to you with his nose rather than carry to you in his mouth. His favorite sleeping position is on his back with all four legs in the air and with his head slightly hanging up-side down off the couch.

Dusty is a 3 year old rescued Terrier mix. He was shipped to California from Texas which, as you can see from the picture, is where he must have learned to attack snakes. After being nursed back to health Dusty is a red-haired bundle of energy whose outlook on life revolves around taking every toy he owns and depositing them all over the house. He's an expert at locating every hidden squeaky in his toys and raising his right or left paws on command. His funniest quirk is lying on his side on the floor and "running" in place. The more we laugh, the faster he "runs."

Willow is a 2.5 year old Boxer mix. Her perfect day includes off leash walking, playing ball, wrestling with her cat Chloe, running at top speed, or spending the day at Kamp K9. She's a very happy dog and is always in a good mood. She challenges herself by putting her toys under furniture and then figuring out how to get them back.

Oscar is definitely a herding dog. He's a rescue dog. He is a very smart dog, who can play soccer like no tomorrow. He is all blue merle, his markings are very handsome, with a black belt across his back. He's almost 4 years old and a great companion. He seems to be a mix of Australian Shepherd/Border Collie, maybe some cattle or Catahoula.

Gilhooley is usually in trouble but his looks are his saving grace. He definitely has some Pit Bull in him. Not sure what else. He was sold to someone by kids off the back of a truck in San Francisco. That owner didn't work out but now he has a loving home.

Booda is a male --half lab & half border collie. He loves people and his favorite activity is to play with other dogs especially the big ones. A funny thing about Booda is that in a game of fetch he stalks the ball like a cat and pounces on the ball once it has stopped. He also loves to just sit outside and sniff the air.

Link was adopted by us about a year ago from the SFSPCA. He was brought in from an animal shelter in Nevada. We saw him and immediately fell in love with his playful and loving nature. He came to us with a bit of a nervous pant, and anxiousness that couldn't be explained. Now he is a wonderfully well adapted black lab mix and despite his vivacious appetite that never ceases to end he is my pride and joy and the most loving, loyal and devoted dog that an owner could ask for.
